The EMFAD-measuring method is based on the evaluation of variations of electromagnetic field data caused by anomalies in the subsoil. It can locate – conductive materials, such as metal, pipes, barrels, cables, reinforced concrete,electrolytic effluents, etc. – irregularities like cavities, graves, faults, shafts, ground fills, deposits, caves,tunnels, landfills. The EMFAD-Technology has been successfully deployed in practice under variousdifferent climatic and geological conditions by professionals as well as by hobby researchers. Fields of application predominantly are archeology, geophysics, geology, hydrology and treasure loacating (treasure hunting) in very different application areas as archeological sites, industrial waste sites and waste deposits, building lots, mining ares, street- construction sites, military practice sites and other soil investigations. EMFAD® – ScanDS

 

Evaluation of data

EMFAD® – ScanDS is data processing software that performs both the processing and display of measurements of abnormal variations in conductivity in the subsoil. It provides representations in 2D or 3D views, interpretations, modelling, and documentation/printing of the measured results. The operation of the program and its processes are simple to use and in most cases the individual menus are self-explanatory

The data collected, viewed in real time and saved with EMFAD® TAB on the TABLET-PC can be evaluated and processed with the specialized software EMFAD® – Scan at the site with the Tablet-PC or later on any Notebook or desktop-PC
The handling of the program is very simple. After preprocessing with EMFAD® – ScanDS, the data can be exported to other programs that can import ASCII-files

The three-dimensional color graphics can be rotated by moving the mouse pointer while holding down the left Mouse button
The spatial position of the Anomalies can be easily determined with the coordinates of the X- and Y-axis. The assignment of colors for
minimum and Maximum is freely selectable

Without grid lines in the 2D view the Location/Position of the anomalies becomes more obvious After double-clicking in the graph above
an anomaly a red line will show up. This Line represents a profile, which is viewed in the upper window over the total length. In this
window the waveform can easily be followed and the exact location of anomalies can be determined

In the numerical view, the raw data from each measurement point and each profile are displayed. With the analysis of the raw data
electromagnetic disorders, that may have affected the measurement, can easily be recognized

EMFAD® – TAB

 

The TABLET PC program EMFAD-TAB is used for data acquisition, data storage and data representation with the subprograms Spectrum, Setup, Survey and Plot

With EMFAD-TAB the data of a selected frequency is displayed graphically in real time on the TABLET PC during the measurement recording. Overall, however, seven default frequencies are available. The raw data of the non-selected six frequencies are also automatically stored during the measurement and can be displayed, by only one measuring path, for detail evaluation in EMFAD-Scan

EMFAD® – TRX2

 

Structure The TRX2 should be placed on a dry surface. In use, the TRX2 developed heat that is cooled via the housing. For this reason, the TRX2 should be operating on a shady place, so that the housing is not additionally heated by solar radiation. The loop antenna has a length of 40 meters and has to be laid down on the ground if possible in form of a circle. The distance between the antenna loop and the measuring area should be about 100 meters to avoid to be disturbed by the electromagnetic near field of the TRX2. In the TRX2 are the six frequencies 19 kHz, 24 kHz, 33 kHz, 70 kHz, 90 kHz and 124 kHz installed
